This game used baseball was thrown by Mets 2012 CY Young award winner R.A. Dickey to Nationals National League Rookie of the Year winner Bryce Harper in the top of the 6th for a foul ball during the July 24, 2012 game against the Washington Nationals at Citi Field. R.A. Dickey autographed the baseball on September 7, 2012.
R.A. Dickey earned his place in baseball history by winning the 2012 National League Cy Young award, becoming the first knuckleballer to win the honor and joining Tom Seaver and Dwight Gooden as the only Mets to receive the award. Dickey finished tied for second in the majors with 20 wins, led the NL in strikeouts (230) and was second in the NL in ERA (2.73). He recorded 27 quality starts in 2012 to lead the majors and became the sixth 20-game winner in franchise history. Do not miss the opportunity to own this unique piece of Mets memorabilia.
